As a group, you will choose a social or political cause or issue as the focus of your research. This page is meant to provide examples and serve as a guide to help you choose an appropriate topic.
You will be expected to research the topic and the way it is presented in the media. You will also be expected to identify and make contact with a leader or organization affiliated with the issue you choose.
You may choose a topic that is discussed at the local, state, national or international level. Think about choosing a local issue- it is an excellent way to get involved in the community and make a difference!
Please keep these things in mind when choosing a topic. All topics must be approved by the instructor at the beginning of your project.
